I’ve procured Byron for a wide range of leadership interventions from programmes, small group work and individual support, over the last decade or more. He is always responsive, highly adaptable and insightful. Feedback from participants is always inspirational. Byron helps people to truly grow into themselves through compassion and a wealth of experience.
Feedback shared by group participants includes “having Byron’s safe space to share my experience and hear others’ stories made me realise I’m not alone and that people can progress who have faced challenges like mine.” Years after group sessions Byron has run for me, I have reconnected with participants and heard how one workshop with Byron impacted them more than multi-year leadership programmes. In the work I do, this is incredibly rare.
I have procured Byron to coach a range of NHS leaders. While I’d recommend him to anyone, I’d say his unique approach is uniquely impactful when someone is struggling with trauma and limiting beliefs that impact careers, relationships and life generally. He uses mindfulness techniques and shares resources that help people to have self-compassion, improve relationships, recover from discrimination and return to the present. He does it with kindness, flexing to each person’s needs. I have seen huge leaps in career progression as a result but far more importantly I have seen leaders accept themselves more and rekindle their spark for their work.
When my mum died Byron helped me to stay present both at work and home, re-balance my priorities and to recognise my own needs. Byron helped me really be there with my mum in her final days and it changed my whole experience which enabled me to recover much more quickly. As a coach he spans work and home in a way that I rarely see in other coaches and just exemplifies presence and going with what is there right now.
As a leader he has helped me to create a welcoming, compassionate environment for my team(s) and colleagues. Hearing the impact that it has on my team is moving, beyond words. It is what gets me out of bed in the morning.
